Selena Li returns to college
Selena Li acts as Yin Fei (Concubine Yin) in TVB series [Beyond the Realm of Conscience], because she’s pregnant with the emperor’s child it has made Lai Fei (Concubine Lai) acted by Tavia Yeung jealous of her, and this caused the death of her and her child.
In 2003, Selena returned from Toronto to Hongkong to participate in Miss Hongkong Pageant, then in order to develop her career in the entertainment circle, she quitted her study at the University of Toronto. Until now, 6 years have already been passed. Her mother has always urged her to finish her few months lessons, in september Selena has asked TVB for few months free and returned to college. Next month she’ll start filming a new series. She said: “Normally when I attend school, I’ll keep it low-profile, I’ll try not to put on make-up. This time I’m very happy to return to college.” Selena expressed that having returned to college as a student, she feels relaxed and at ease.
As for her series [Beyond] is very popular, though Selena is not able to attend any promotional functions, she still feels very happy about it. Earlier she said through the phone: “Thank you, I also like the character Yin Fei a lot. Although she’s shrewd, but she is pure in heart, I especially love that scene in which she has to beg the Emperor to exempt her mother from death penalty, but her begging failed and impatiently she rushed to see her mother for the last time… It’s really moving. Because that time filming outdoor scenes were at Lai Chi Kok park and there were many onlookers looking, I felt quite a lot of pressure when filming.”

These are some pictures of my school, I am almost done!!!!!! yeah!!!! My final exam is around mid-December, and after that, I will fly back to Hong Kong to start another drama…will tell you all about it later on my blog…hehe…宮心計is very popular over here in Toronto too, so many people are asking me about it and watching it, even my friends who NEVER watch Chinese dramas are watching it!! So exciting!!
Outdoordepot ads shoot

Netizens praise Concubine Lai (Tavia Yeung)’s evilness
[Beyond the Realm of Conscience] has reached the middle in its broadcast, the hottest topic now is that the villains are getting strong support, first there was the Great Empress (Susan Tse) and now it is Tavia Yeung. Netizens said that there is a reason to why Tavia is so evil and also praised her.
Last night episode 17 broadcast, Concubine Lai (Tavia Yeung) was jealous of Concubine Yin (Selena Li) and slapped her. Then Tavia ruthlessly: “So what I’m hitting you. Do I have to choose a day?” and “I will definitely return this slap.” These two lines have become the golden phrases among Netizens. Concubine Lai then went and told the Emperor (Moses Chan) that it was Selena who hit her first, setting on her evil plans. At first, Tavia appeared very pitiful and was crying, but then she instantly had a “change in face” (expression) laughing evilly and her eyes were terrifying. Audience praised this scene.
On TVB’s discussion forums, Tavia’s acting is greatly praised, Netizens felt that she can really develop her acting skills, also her “evil face is prettier.” When the series first started broadcasting, Tavia was criticized to not be evil enough, some fans were against her injustice. Before Yiu Kam Ling (Tavia) turned evil, there were many people who pitied her being bullied, so her “evilness affords the general satisfaction.”

Selena Li disguises as a pirate with a scar for Halloween
It’s good news for Selena Li as TVB series [Beyond the Realm of Conscience] she participates in has extremely high viewer ratings. The other day Selena attended a Halloween party in Toronto with her friends. At first Selena was going to disguise as a cute pirate. But after a makeover her friends added a scar on her face and a beard for the final look.
Selena stated that she has always found Halloween very memorable in Toronto. She said “When I was a child I would knock on my neighbours door for trickle treat. I would receive 2 big bags of candy at the end. I liked receiving lollipops and chocolate the most”. This year she had prepared 100 bags of candy for the children trickle treating. But due to the extremely cold weather not many children knocked on her door. In the end she had to consume and make use of the 50 bags of candy that were left over.

Halloween: I’m a pirate!
My Halloween in Toronto was very exciting because I remember when I was younger, I used to go around to different houses to trick-o-treat, and I would be able to get at least 2 garbage bags full of treats! I also remember I used to be so so so happy whenever I get chips from houses, because people usually give out lollipops and really small chocolate candies. So this year, I bought 100 bags of chips to give out! But maybe it was cold, there weren’t too many kids who came out to trick-o-treat. I had over 50 bags of chips left, so I guess I’ll just eat them slowly… But some of the kids who came out were really cute….hehe….I went to my friend’s house for a Halloween party where many of us dressed up, it was so much fun because my friend Amy did all of our make up. I told her she should work for TVB! haha…
